Thread: Warning - Another Skrill phishing email doing the rounds.

  1. #1

Exclamation Warning - Another Skrill phishing email doing the rounds.

Another Skrill phishing email appeared in my inbox this evening saying :-

    Dear Customer,

We would like to inform you that your account is pending closure for failing to accept the new Skrill (Moneybookers) Account Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy until the 31th of May, 2013.
This is your last and final warning. To avoid account closure, please follow the link below and confirm your personal information. Failing to do so until the 31th of May, 2013 will be considered a denial of our terms and conditions and your account will be permanently closed.

... and there was a link to click. Skrill always addresses people by name and not 'Dear Customer'. Lol I also haven't heard of a date being the 31th !!!

If you get one of these emails forward it to
security@skrill.com and DON'T click on any links. Stay safe !

Never click a link in any email, don't depend upon you're ability to spot spelling errors, etc. (they might actually buy a dictionary, or suddenly gain some brain cells). Always go to your account and check if you're not sure what is happening, by typing the official address into your browser (or use your own bookmark). The official site will communicate with you via your account if you have a problem of any type.
I remember everything, even what happened tomorrow.

Yes, forgot to say 'thanks for the heads up'

Would like to think that we are all savvy enough not to be caught, but no harm to remind us.
