Funny you should mention them, my mate found some in her drawers (of the wooden variety) that used to belong to her son, I said OHHHHH they were banned, "what for" says the gobby grandson of 13 "theres nothing wrong with them." He picks them up and starts to Clack them and promptly whacked his wrist, and ran out of the room crying tee hee, to my sarcastic "that's why."
I notice they are still on sale, but a (static) version, instead of the loose string.

yeah, we've got a static version. them bloody balls hurt dint they? everyone at school had broken arms/wrists. my sis had a red pair. good fun though, till they weren't!
