    Default Shipping Calculator

The shipping calculator does not display the correct postage for items that weigh just above the ounce mark.

For example, it displays the same amount of postage for a 4OZ package as it does for a 4.6OZ package.

I noticed this after creating items and a shipping rule that calculates items with a weight of 0.3 oz each.

As a test I changed the items and shipping rule to a whole number and it displayed the correct postage EXCEPT for 3OZ packages. It displays the same price for a 1, 2, and 3 oz package when using 1oz or .3oz items.

The shipping calculator itself should be configured to round up weights to the next ounce. It would be unfair to my customers to sell them 10 objects with a weight of 0.3oz each and charge them for 10oz.

You can adjust shipping costs on the invoice.

1st Class USPS postage rates are the same for any package up to 3 oz. If you want a shipping calculation breakdown for under 3 oz you will need to ship an envelope rather than a package.

Otherwise the shipping calculator should round up. 3.1 oz cost should be the same as 4 oz and not 3 oz.

This does not address the actual problem with the shipping calculator.

Ah yes, you are correct. I just rechecked. I was thinking of FCM envelopes. The 3oz price is correct. I'm not looking for any breakdown below 3oz, I just want the calculator to be accurate at 3.1 and above.

Has anyone from the eBid team had a chance to look into this issue?

Does anyone know if this has been corrected?
