    Default Ninja lister update suggestions

Firstly I'd just like to say that Ninja lister is invaluable, I couldn't list effectively on ebid without it. However it is slowly driving me insane because it's so full of trivial bugs.

Please consider my workflow, I have many items in my inventory, some active and some out of stock. Every day I update them through the following routine:

    1. Put product name into search box
    2. If product exists select it, right click and change the status (i.e. close, add/overwrite)
    3. Search for the product again because the list has reset
    4. Choose good to go
    5. If several items in the list are to be edited search again as the list has reset

There are several issues which affect me. First the first search goes ok but sometimes I'll paste something into the search box and it will grow in width, eventually it's so long that the button is off the side of the page and I must click on a different folder to reset it. Then why does the list keep resetting? I just want to search, click, change status and good to go. There is an X in the search box to clear it so why does it do so without me asking? Also pasting text into the description on a listing converts the text into gibberish (Chinese I think). I must first paste it into the gedit text editor, copy again and then paste it into Ninja lister.

Is there any chance these could be looked at and fixed in a future release?

    Thanks
    Gareth

I use NL and on your points 1 and 2 this can be done.

    Put in search word.
Highlight listing and right click - this gives the options that you have asked for.

I can see the problem. If you have for instance, 3 items that appear in the search. Right click and all options are greyed out. Click the next listing and the options will appear.

You appear to have totally mis-understood what I am saying. I have no issue with options not appearing. I am simply saying that once you have chosen a new action (add, delete, close etc) the search resets and you have to search for the same item again to continue editing. I want to search, change status, edit listing details, good to go.

Instead I have to search, change status, search, edit details, good to go, then repeat if there were several items in that list. It should not reset the search until I tell it to do so.

Also something I forgot to mention, if I right click on an item and choose edit it loads a DIFFERENT item for editing. I have to double click to edit instead.

What version of NL are you using?

I am guessing that your inventory is in just one folder/auction set on NL. Until eBid admin are able to consider your request why don't you separate your inventory into separate folders? This may cause you less hassle with the resetting. This is a suggestion only and would make your task a lot easier, as well as being good administration for a lot of stock.

Please note that my suggestion does not get over the problems you are experiencing. Maybe another member will be able to help or eBid admin will reply.

Good luck with your sales here on eBid.

Unfortunately another issue with NL prevents me from splitting my stock up into sum folders. The search functionality was added at my request but they have designed it in such a way that it only searched the auction titles in the current folder. This means I can't search by model number or search across multiple folders. If I split my stock up it would mean one search would become 17 searches.

I now have a 22mb mp4 file showing the worst of the problems. How do I send it to you?
