GGGRRRRR! I hate ebay!

Ive just had an email telling me my seller standards are "below average" . Although my DSR's are all 4.8 or 4.9 in the last year 4 people thought my item as described only deserved a 1 or a 2 and although i have a 99.8% feedback rate and over a thousand feedbacks, that is enough to bar me from free listing days. So if i can't sell how can i possibly improve the rating.

No wonder I prefer eBid!

This happens all the time, and unlike eBid they will not listen to reason, been there tried it and got absolutely nowhere. The only good thing is that they are doing it to many sellers and they might drive them here. If they do so in big enough numbers you will not need eBay.

I just wondering how many seller’s receive similar e-mails who selling bunch of stuff every day…not a week…not a month….every day…and doesn’t matter if this all seller’s make profit or not and doesn’t matter if have good feedback or not I think what is matter eBay make bunch of the money from that all transaction in a way of selling & shipping fees…and will leave you most of time alone with your DSR’s if you're in that category of the seller's...

If this is an actual quotation I should want to know their exact definition of "average" as I am sure they would have great difficulty in substantiating their claim mathematically. I'd love to know the "formula" and suspect jeweleffects is right. Blighters!

as has been said , this is an attempt at getting rid of the small seller but I think it is also trying to stop the FREE listing , they get no money from them...( listing fees ).......... papa.

I agree with you Papa, if you sell a few items they stop your free listings and if you sell a lot they try an make you a biz seller. either way you have to pay up. You just can't win.

eBay sellers can win - they just need to become eBid sellers.

the thing is without the free listings you cant raise the dsr again as i only list on free days as its not worth my bother to list any other time. I also rarely leave dsr's as i dont agree with them unless i get exeptional service or very poor service
