Fingers, toes and eyeballs crossed...
Happy Hump Day.
Cheers,
Hurray!
My very favourite band have won Best British Group at the Brits Awards!
Rightly so! They are just brilliant.
Was it Mumford or sons?
Good morning everyone.
Nice to see my favourite people around and my favourite music too, aswell as hearing great news on both fronts from two superb bands Al and Trishhaven't had chance to look further than last few days as I'm going to be too busy now with all the upheaval of moving etc.
It's not morning now anymore. I had to fly off for an appointment mid typing earlier.
Will try and pop in as often as posssible in future weeks but everything's up in the air so will let you know in due course all that's happening.
Hope you're all well.
Here is a song for you

Good morning Sal and everyone else!
Great tune! You just remember those lyrics as your packing and moving. I'm sure we are all looking forward to the day when your all settled and relaxed...
...Hurry up!
Well, I guess I got my Google exemption. My items don't show on a Google search but if I google search google shopping then search my items I'm about the 30th listing.
I listed 4 items on Sunday and have 14, 4, 12 and 3 views on the items. I know 8 viewers on the 2 items as I directed them to the listing (fellow drummers). So through the search engine I have received about 3 to 6 views per listing in 3 days.
Is that good and what should be expected?
Oh and I'm sure some of the views are from you here in the lounge.
Tried the Google shopping experience and pretended I was looking for a cymbal. If I type the entire title of my listing into search or most of it Zildjian 20" A Custom Ride Crash Cymbal then my listing appears within the first 5 to 10 listings on google shopping but if I search and leave out some words Zildjian 20" A Custom Cymbal I go down to about 30th shown. If I leave out the size Zildjian A Custom Cymbal which is quite common for drummers to do my listing is way past the 100 listings shown.
How do I get my listings to show towards the top when a drummer is looking for a cymbal he may want?

'Enjoy' your move, Sal!!! I'm sure you'll be glad when it's over! Moving is a great way to get a fresh start. Don't stress too much, and remember it will soon be over and you can be back to what you love doing even more than packing boxes!!
Ta-Ta for now!

Oh, it's so good to hear from you Sal.
I was wondering how you were getting along with your house-move.
Thanks for the great tune, really enjoyed it.
Got to echo Al's message - "we are all looking forward to the day when your all settled and relaxed...
...Hurry up" (The drinks service in the lounge has gone to the dogs lately!!!)
Al - I think Ms Penguin may be the best one to help you out with your questions about Google / shopping- I personally never bother with it, but I do try and enter barcodes and brands whenever possible and have a buy it now price.
Since lots of my sales are from newbies who purchase what they want then disappear into the sunset, I would imagine that they found the item they wanted by googling it.
Sister Sal enjoy your move, hope the new place is as special as you are and that you have a blast.
Al, good question on the Google shopping, have had the same experience when doing Google searches for my items, specific keyword entries (which most don't use I expect) bring items up to the top, but using fewer specific keywords the listings drop like stones. As Trish says hopefully Cheaver will have some ideas about this.
Cheers,
