Thread: Okay, I admit it......

  1. #1

    Default Okay, I admit it......

I've been pretty negative about eBid over the last few months - as some of you have pointed out, lol.

But....you 'have to be innit to winnit' as they say, so I am putting on my positive hat and revamping my listings - and my ideas. I have decided to concentrate solely on vintage knitting patterns - hence a slight change to my ID, and have been listing like mad over the last two days. Still a way to go but I will keep at it.

    Fingers crossed......

Well done you, there is a market for knitting patterns as several of us can testify to. Good luck with your new approach.

Thank you - I appreciate that.

I WAS selling patterns before, but only a few sold so I became very disheartened - especially as they were selling on 'you know where'.

    But.......nil desperandum.

    Thanks again.

Oh Well Done You! It isn't easy to do what you have done - been there a few times myself. Changing direction is hard to do but pays off eventually!

KW, That is good news. eBid needs all the good and positive sellers that it can get. I really think that we can build something here if we work together and stay in it for the long haul. The eBid platform can certainly be part of a selling strategy.

Now, I'm not trying to be negative or sarcastic (haha) when I write this next line. Even though postage costs are expensive, how about offering your patterns internationally? You might be surprised. At any rate it can't hurt. Good luck with your sales.

What Marie said. Good for you for making a change, hope it pans out in lots of sales.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

As if either of us would be sarcastic

I used to sell internationally on the other site until postal costs went up. But I had a fairly regular buyer say she would still purchase from me if I would send by surface mail. Another regular buyer cancelled his order when postage went up - really annoyed me as I re-weigh everything and I must have saved him around £15 in postage!!!! So........I decided from that point on, not to sell outside the UK.

Will have a re-think, depending how it goes.

Costs nothing to offer international shipping plus you get all that extra exposure
