Considering that there are many countries in Europe who will never vote for us no matter how good we are, it seems pointless being part of a fixed competition.

If I wanted to listen to poorly sung tunes from people wearing ridiculous looking costumes I just have to watch one of the early episodes of the X Factor.

It did bring the world ABBA, without Eurovision they may never have been 'discovered'.

Apart from that, it is a pile of poo, and long past its sell by date. Best put out of its misery. 99.9% of the songs are crap - including the British entries. 'No Points' is maybe the only truly honest vote for any Eurovision song.

The best thing about Eurovision was Sir Terry Wogan's sarcastic comments. Now he has gone there seems little point in watching it !

So true. I only watched it because of Terry Wogan. His comments were brilliant. Graham Norton is trying much too hard to be just like Terry and although he's got a wicked sense of humour himself, it'll never happen.
