Default Whose money is MY money anyways?

I've sold a few books on Amazon in the past couple of months. By a few, I mean four.
They were easy sales, but the time that it takes to get my money is ridiculous. Unless you pay a $40.00 monthly fee, all of your sales money is on hold for a minimum of 14 days. They claim the reason that your money is held for so long is, "Failed Dispersment". Call the company for a reason behind the 'failed dispersment', and you get the run-around. Believe me. I've called several times, and have received very different answers each call, with no resolution in mind. Just one transfer after another, while listening to whatever advertisements they wanted to repeat, over and over, and over, and over, and... you get the idea.

My Thoughts... I think that Amazon uses your money, and instead of giving you a return, they charge you selling fees. Sure, you used their service to sell your book. If it weren't for them, you wouldn't have sold your book. But if a book takes 2-5 business days to arrive, Amazon shouldn't be allowed to use your money for 21 days, without giving you some compensation.

Bottom-Line: If you say that you'll give me the $20 that is mine tomorrow, give me the $20 that is mine tomorrow. If you said you would but you can't, give me some sort of interest when you do pay me. Amazon, you aren't my mother, my father or my brother; you are someone else trying to make money... You aren't going to make money off of me... Give me my money!

I have been trading on that site since 2005 and I have always got paid once a fortnight...except once recently when the payment was a couple of days late due to a technical issue at their end.

I signed up to the fortnightly payments ....so I have never had a problem with it.

Same here - selling on there is a breeze and never any problem getting money into bank.

Tho' I fail to see why OP has posted that on here.

I posted about Amazon because I am sick of them changing my dispersement dates. Whenever I sell an item on Amazon, I am given a date for dispersement of my money on my Sellers page. The date is always 7 days later, which would be fine. Yet, the 7th day comes, and instead of transfering my money, they change the date to another 7 days in the future. It takes two weeks to 21 days before they transfer your money from sales to your bank account.
I posted here, because Amazon and eBid are both selling sites. One difference between the two, is that Amazon keeps saying they'll send your money on a certain date, then when that date comes, instead of sending your money, they say they'll send it later. And when you ask why, all they say is, "Failed Dispersement".
I am complaining about Amazon, because I think their practices are crooked. If you owe Amazon money, it is taken immediately. Yet, if Amazon owes you money, you end up waiting up to 21 days. It's B.S..
