Yes, I agree that if the coin is not graded by PCGS, ANACS, NGC, or even ICG, treat it as though it wasn't in a holder. Too many coins graded as MS69 in generic holders to be trustworthy. (Wink)

Coin grading is'nt actually necessary if people who actually collect coins would educate themselves on how to grade a coin instead of being lazy and relying on what a coin slab actually states. Sooner or later it will bite some people in the rear end because the Chinese are also using fake PCGS and NGC slabs to house their fake coins in. So now what people?
Classic Toning, i've read your statement above and then looked at your avtar. What is it with Americans ruining coins with petrol to make them come out like that? There's a British coin forum i use and we just laugh at the crazy prices you people pay for these. In fact, i think it was you who recently sold a GB 1 penny that had been artificially toned and it went for some silly price. Regarding Grading parties. Use your own judgement because i i have alredy stated, China are using fake holders from PCGS and NGC.
I have 50 Silver dimes they book for around 1 to 8 bucks each, is it better to sell them each or by silver wieght????
What is your purpose? If you just want to know what you have, it would be cheapest to get a good reference such as Photograde for circulated coins and learn as you compare.
Mercury dimes are spotting at $2.40 each now (that is their melt value). Always check on the melt value, as a minimum sell price.
Research the average sell price using date, condition of coin, etc.
P.S. Silver Roosevelt Dimes are spotting at the same melt price $2.40 each now)

It seems CrazyJays does not exist anymore on eBid
Actually there is a CrazyJay (different user) from the UK. I saw a post in the forums by Jay the other day, but could not bring up his imfo. He stated he was leaving, for other horizons.
All previous members still ‘’exist’’ but only around but many items from those previous members ‘’don’t exist’’ on eBid anymore…
Some of don’t have ‘’plenty’’ of personal time in own hand….
Some of just try something else…
Some of don’t have ‘’patience’’ anymore…
Some of working plenty of hours in real job…
Some of just ‘’forget’’…log in…
Some of just stop by like me…just to say ‘’hello everybody’’….are we there yet…?
P.S. Good night and good luck everybody….........
