    Question Selling to different countries

Hi new to the sight and I have some questions hopefully some of the regulars will be able to help with.

Can I sell to different countries from my UK account.
How will my auction differ from someone selling from there own country
Can other Ebid sites still view my action.
is it better to create an account from the country you are trying to sell too

I am based in the UK but sell 100% of my products to other countries.

    Thanks
    Rob

At the moment you are only listed as a Buyer, you would need to upgrade to a Seller or Seller+ account. If you are serious about selling most people would recommend the Seller+ Lifetime.

Once you are registered for selling you can sell worldwide. When you create a listing you have the opportunity to create as many shipping options as you like. I generally have UK 1st and 2nd class, Europe and the Rest of the World shipping options, but you can have more, for example seperate for Australia and New Zealand.

When you listing is complete everybody will see the same listing, but with the appropriate shipping and item price converted to their local currency.

As the majority of sales come via Google you will have worldwide exposure, and as long as your items are fairly priced with reasonable shipping you should make sales.

If you do start selling and want advice, just head for the forums, somabody will always help out.

I believe you can only register in the country you live in. You automatically sell to that country, I believe, and can include any others that are available. Not sure why you wouldn't want to list things in the UK, as well, unless you are selling rain. Also, check back

and read the welcome to new members thread you posted on.

Yes.when you list an item you tick the countries you want to sell to.
How will my auction differ from someone selling from there own country
    Sorry,don't understand that question.
Can other Ebid sites still view my action.
Every country you tick will be able to view & buy your item.
is it better to create an account from the country you are trying to sell too
This isn't generally allowed.(There are exceptions)

awesome quick replies. Thank you all. Yes Stratford is lovely. Come again soon. :O)

The question that was maybe typed not so well.
How will my auction look compared to someone selling from the same country. for example. A guy in Peru viewing a ebid search. Will my auction look different to someone listing in Peru.

Ebay for another example lists auctions under a break so the buyer has to scroll down to find my auction.

If you mean in search results the only difference is your price would be in italics.

(It is possible by using advanced search to filter search results to your own Country,
but I think that is only available on the
UK & US sites, I think anyone can use filtering by distance )

Once viewed they would see the shipping cost that you have set for their Country,
if you haven't set shipping for their Country, or indicated you will ship there,
they will not see your listing.

Featured items are at the top of the page....other items just move to the top as they get closer to their time running out. Run Until Solds stay at the bottom of the list.

Click on the ebid logo at the top of the page. Then you can go to the searchbar at the top of your computer screen....will show uk.ebid.net.....or something close. If you change the uk to us, you will be on the US site. If you change it to CA, you will see Canadian auctions......etc. Try looking at different listing from different places and see what you find.

Yes, as many countires as you select when listing items.

How will my auction differ from someone selling from there own country

They will see the item in both your currency and theirs, (when I view UK items I see the pound cost and the U.S. dollar equivalent beside it).

Can other Ebid sites still view my action.

Countries you sell to will be able to view your listings, ones you don't sell to won't.

is it better to create an account from the country you are trying to sell too

As far as I know you can only set up an account from your home country.

I am based in the UK but sell 100% of my products to other countries.

Excellent, as this boots your visibility and widens your potential customer base.

    Thanks
    Rob
