Yes, BIN Purchases Should Be Paid Immediaely
No, BIN Purchases Should Not Be Paid Immediately
The Current BIN Payment System Is Fine
Buddy Points For BIN Purchases Should Be Awarded After Completed Payment
Buddy Points To Buyer of BIN Should Continue To Be Awarded Immediately
Buddy Points Earned By A NPB Should Be Removed
A NPB Should Keep Their Earned Buddy Points From BIN Purchase
As a general rule I have never expected immediate payment. But I like having the option for immediate payment available for sellers who want to use it. This also gives buyers the option to purchase or not. It was not an issue until I noticed this trend; should be addressed in some way.
If buddy points were not awarded to a buyer until after completed payment, that could be enough to slow the problem. I notice the seller does not get buddy points until payment is received and/or positive feedback is received.

I would really love to pay eBid $40 dollars in fees, and even more monthly, as this indicates growth in sales.
But not via a scam buyer(s). Still find it a bit strange that the buyer(s) join new to make the BIN purchase; always on a holiday (Labor Day & Columbus Day); and in my case always from across the pond. If it wasn't so much involved, I could easily see the humour in the situation.
I have to agree with Dean on this one.
But also, buyers should NOT gain any buddy points until payment has been remitted and cleared.
Or better still:
No member should gain any buddy points until a transaction has been fully executed - PPP (purchased, paid, posted)![]()
on your second point i agree with you
this immediate payment just how is that going to work as soon as they hit the confirm button flashing lights and bells YOU MUST PAY NOW or are we going down the line of "this item will remain for sale till its paid for" the latter is a threat albeit mild its a threat.
you can not make any buyer pay immediately even after they hit confirm and there taken to login at paypal you cant force them to login to pay
i think your concerns are just there needs to be a alternative approach for your given example

MY ATTITUDE IS A RESULT OF YOUR ACTIONS!!!
IF YOU DONT LIKE IT BLAME YOURSELF.
How does eBay or any other venue that requires "pay now" for BIN sales obtain the payment upon purchase? The buyer chooses either to complete the shopping cart or abandon the shopping cart.
If one goes to a local store, wanting to "buy something now" they will either complete the transaction by "paying for it now" or they can choose to put the item(s) back (abandon the shopping cart). If the buyer persists, and removes the said item from the store via theft, they would be stopped (if caught) and arrested/prosecuted, not rewarded.
It would actually be eBid who would determine an appropriate means or approach to implement the option. It is easily done, as others are already doing it. Also each seller can decide for themselves which approach works best in their case.
