Just wondering how many people have come over from other auction sites?
and how are you finding it here?

Its quiet here, but I make the odd sale. It is getting busier, month on month.

I think you will find that a high number of sellers on here have come from the other side. That's eBay not Hades by the way.

I make sales most days. What you tend to see on the forums is people who listen to and heed the advice given. These sellers tend to make sales, though admittedly not on the scale they would on eBay. But they do have more chance of making a profit due to the low fees. Then there are sellers who just list items in exactly the same way as on eBay, make few or no sales, then complain about the fact. Put in the effort on eBid and you will gain the rewards.

I was selling on the other side - and enjoyed selling there.

Found eBid in December 2009 - joined up as a Seller+ and didn't really do too much apart from experimenting until May 2011.

June 2011 and I took a one month break from the other side and put some effort into eBid - during that month most of my regulars started to appear here (I didn't actually tell them) so the month break turned permanent.......... I have sold 2,324 items on eBid now and if I only had a bit more time I know I could have doubled that. So how am I finding it here? Pretty good excellent platform and a lot of effort = sales.

Because my main items (my art) are a low volume sale I learnt very quickly that listing on the other side was hurting me financially so I have totally withdrawn from there and now only list on here and a couple of other sites where I can afford to leave low volume promotions running

Same here, I moved back here at the same time. Lol, there was quite a stampede heading in the eBid direction in 2008 !

I started to list here regularly a bit earlier than most of the posters so far. I first arrived in 2003 - very little sold apart from YDC. I listed, not a huge amount, but I listed and I bought because I know that monopoly is bad. I still list on the other side. I also used Tazbar & Specialist auctions (that just wasn't worth the effort).

My feelings about monopoly are currently coming true in a very unpleasant way for me as I try to register a new charity id there. In truth, I don't really want just to list here. I've had my attempts to build a business wrecked twice by dependence on one site & I've wasted energy on Tazbar only to be betrayed (not just me.. all sellers there).

But, so far, eBid's management have been honourable over policy changes and my sales are improving as I list more.
