As already mentioned, if you select the "Gallery" listing to have a thumbnail in search results then there is a 2% fvf, which in comparrison is nothing compared to what most places charge. For an example, take items we sell, on here an £8.99 action figure that sells, 2% equals about 20p or under 20p, cannot remember, I know a £9.99 action figure is 20p with fvf at 2%, but if we sold an action figure on FeeBay at 8.99, the fvf alone would be 90p (based on their 9.9% fvf, dread to think what it would be now with the proposed increases and if they are in effect yet), plus the fee for however long it has been listed for, and some figures sell quickly before being out of stock, and others can take several months to sell depending on the character/figure. Plus we have a back catalog of action figures as well and we simple cannot afford to list such a huge catalog of stock on a place like FeeBay.

As many will agree, the "Gallery" listing is worth it. 2% amounts to very little for the vast majority of items (under 25p for most things we sell), with no greedy percentage increases the higher the price of an item like there is at other places (*cough*FeeBay*cough*). Plus, the Gallery listing enables you to have a thumbnail in search results, and larger thumbnails for your items in your shop, and thumbnails are important, as most people tend to shop by image as well as name/keywords, and you will be surprised at how many buyers pass by items they are actually looking for because it has no thumbnail in search results etc, as when they search for an item, they get a page of results with the keywords they have used, and when they scroll down the list, the majority of buyers are not looking at titles of listings, they are looking at the thumbnails, I even do that myself when I'm shopping for something, and you'll be surprised by how many buyers will not bother clicking on an item in search results when there is no thumbnail and just the standard camera image thingy that you often see because they have opted not to go for the gallery listing for the sake of saving themself a 2% fvf for which for some items, the 2% can be as little as 10p or less lol. So the Gallery listing increases your chances of making a sale.

Gallery is the default for a Seller+ account (probably shouldn't be as it is chargeable), so maybe you just omitted to de-select it.

You can set up in your My Defaults so that all new listings you create are pre-selected to be Free listings. Then if you want the Gallery image you can select it on the listing form.

Thank you. Just as well I made the mistake on a low value item!

I have no quibble about 2% fvf.

In all honesty it is better to have a galley listing as you get the picture next to your listing, and a lot of buyers wont take a second look at your listing if you haven't got one
