Seller unable to receive money via pay pal.

I'm new to eBid, and recently bought a computer software program via the buy it now option on Thursday, 8.23.12.
Now I would like to pay for the item, but every time I try to pay with paypal, I receive the message: "This recipient is currently unable to receive money".
The seller seems legitimate and has a good feedback history, I sent them an email yesterday (8.24.12), but I have not received a reply. Being used to
how things work quickly at eBay, this delay is not something I am familiar with. I'm wondering whether there is some reasonable amount of time before I consider the auction failed due to lack of follow-through; thing is, I want to get the software, and if this is a no-go, I will have to buy it elsewhere. How long should I wait to hear back from the seller?

If paypal wont let you pay.
I would say thats a big sign.

I would let ebid support know and see what to do so no bad feedback can beleft on your account by the seller.

Did the listing have PayPal listed as a payment option?

Being that this is a weekend, it might be that the seller is merely taking the weekend off and handles business Monday thru Friday.

Did you attempt to contact the seller thru the AAL or did you send a message to his regular email? I would probably send one thru both if I hadn't had contact with the seller already.

Of course, if you don't get a reply from the seller by Tuesday or Wednesday, I'd go ahead and contact support@ebid.net and request that they check into the matter. Naturally, I wouldn't pay until I had made contact with the seller.

Oh! While I know that quite a few people come to eBid after having been using the eBay site for some time and often forget that not all sites operate the same. Here at eBid sellers are free to accept any form of payment they choose so PayPal is not always accepted.

Good luck with your situation and as I said, contact support@ebid.net if you haven't received a reply from your seller by the middle of this week. But I'd give him or her a chance to get back to you before getting too stressed.

Someone on an auctions discussion forum on Livejournal said that they are having glitchy problems with Paypal at the moment. I would hang on a day or so (if you can) to see what the seller says, (are they a private or business seller/ is there a time difference between where they are and where you are?) otherwise, yes I would move on too.

Also, if you tried paying with a credit card, perhaps there is an issue with the seller not taking cards. I'm not sure how that works, just remember quite awhile ago that sometimes those payments would sit in a sellers box till they accepted.
