The one we have isn't colour as mainly bought (at that time) for OH work, but the cartridges are over £50. However I have since found I can refill them. Apart from occasional paper jamming, it works well. Very pleased with it.

sounds great. especially the refilling bit *grin*. My experience with printers is mixed. I have had several fancy "all-in-ones" which constantly would break down and jam. My really good experience was my first inkjet document printer, an ancient Epson c60 which worked like a dream, and my "new ancient second hand HP document printer with print-heads built into the cartidges (change the cartridge and it changes the print head as well) which also works like a dream. I keep finding the old ones are great and the new ones are terrible. So now I am always interested in peoples experiences with printers.

I have a Samsung laser which never seems to need black ink refills. My inkjet is a Kodak which is supposed to be cheap to run, but is more expensive than the laser, and the build quality is not great so it may not be such a good buy in a few years.

My first inkjet printer was an HP 500 which was just about indestructible. It couldn't jam or break and I loved it. In the end it was only because it took so long to print sheets of paper that I got rid of it.
