I have just talked to my Son. They have had 6 inches (15 cm.) of rain and now they are having flash floods and mud and rock slides. I just can't believe everything they are dealing with. This rain should put the fires out but now they have a whole new set of problems..

Idaho is now starting to burn. We have the largest range fire in the US going now. Fortunately Idaho is what they call high desert and the fire is in an area the has almost no population. There are a lot of fires all around us. One is going about 10 miles from where we are supposed to do a Flea Market the first weekend in Aug. We may be staying home. Very rugged area and lots of pine beetle damage.

This sounds to be absolutely horrendous for your son and everyone. There seems to be no end to the struggling to get back to some sort of normality. It's good to know that the main Idaho fire is in an area with few folks in it.... but it must be scary knowing that there are fires all around you.
I do hope everything gets back at least under control soon.... and then the long process to recovery can begin.
