Huh? What would be in the column if there were no bids then?
A sea of empty space? Anyone with a brain larger than a peanut would understand that meant 0. So the effect would be the same, an auction house with little activity.
Define 'bigger'. Bigger as in more items on offer, or bigger as in more transactions? The two are unrelated. And neither are relevant for the buyer. The buyer wants to know that there are items on offer that are attractive enough that several bidders are making offers on them.
Do you know the proportion of items on this site that get sold? Individual sellers may do well, but I suspect there's many others that don't (for many reasons, some good, some bad). And, more important, do you know the proportion of items on this site that get 2 or more bids?
Without that data we're all a bunch of turkeys debating the merits of Christmas.

all we want is a bid column, good or bad we want one!!
no bids to count wish I knew before spending 50.00 the only one selling at a profit is ebid it is all sellers no buyers I have been trying to sell here for 6 months the only sale I ever made was a limited edation orange dooney and bouke a 289.00 used price I got only one bid for 5.00 dollars not at all happy and no one has ever even attempted to help ebay at least you can get bids wieh I had my 50 bucks back
Read the forum for ways to promote your items. eBid is not as big as the bay but there are buyers here. You have your items running on 7 days after first bid. That leaves your items at the bottom of a search when a buyer searches....do one and you'll see what I mean. I prefer to run my listings for 7 days with 10 auto-reposts. That makes them circulate to the top of a search when buyers search. Do you network on sites like facebook and google? If not, you should try it. Gets your listings ranked higher on google searches. I hope this helps, but you must be realistic. You have to work to promote your items. Otherwise, you will hardly ever get sales.

@MyBags
And surely you knew that ebid was not as busy as ebay when you joined up.
Maybe you could start a new thread and ask for some help from other members.
We all want more sales, and we have to stick with ebid while it is growing, or ebay will have it all to themselves keep raising their fees.
Hi Melodie,
All your listings are 7 days > 1st Bid
These listings stay stuck at the bottom of eBid's search list.
Consider editing them all to 'live' 7 or 10 days with up to 10 auto relists.
This way, your listings will rise to the top for all to see.
Start your bids at a price you are comfortable accepting should you only get 1 bid. It is extremely rare to have bidding wars except when the YDC Charity Auctions are running every month.
Hope this helps.
It would be useful to be able to search a given product looking only at items with bids and alternatively a given with no bids. Why bulk up the site with items that don't move. I feel this would help a seller determining items placed on the site. I very much like the site and find it easy to navigate however thus far my experience has been dismal. Suggestions are welcome!
