Talking One Up Gaming, New to Ebid, and here to stay!

Hello everyone, we have only been setting up for the past two days and already Ebid feels like a better place to sell than the horrible, greedy little Bay. We left the other site because they wanted to dictate every little piece of our business. At the end of the day it didn't feel like it was really ours at all. Feel free to check out our profile and see what we have to offer. Postings are coming a little slower than expected, but they are coming! We just wanted to say a little bit and introduce ourselves. We sell toys, comics, games, just an amazing variety of fun things. We were successful on the dark side and hope to do the same here, and bring even more customers to Ebid!

Have a great Day! From One Up Gaming

To borrow from Tommy Lee in Under Siege: "Welcome to the revolution!".

Good luck with sales, but do not be disheartened if things start off slow. It will take time to build up a customer base again as well as getting your repeat buyers from FeeBay to buy from you on here instead (saving you from some extortionate FVF's in the process).

Took me a while to rebuild on eBid, and in a sense, I am always building on my customer base. Sales will come when they come. Can't force people to buy from you at the end of the day lol, but offering your items a little cheaper on eBid than what they are or were on FeeBay will be a nice incentive for potential buyers.

Maybe throw in some special offers as well, I do that here on eBid, could never afford to do that on FeeBay!

You could also consider keeping just one or 2 listings live on FeeBay, let people know in the item description that you have other items on eBid and even list items that you have available on eBid (which I have done), just do not provide direct site links, just mention that you are on eBid as this will bring you buyers too as this very trick is working for me.

Posted this to another thread, but it may be helpful here as well. Some suggestions for selling on eBid, if you haven't already tried them:

    1) Add a signature link to your posts, so members can click to view your listings.
    2) List as many items as you can; it's free to list and relist and the more items you list, the more potential sales.
    3) Use 7-10 day auctions with auto repost to ensure your items move up searches.
    4) Let former customers from other sites know you're selling here.
    5) Use social networking (Twitter, Facebook, personal blog) to promote your listings.
    6) Use Plug Your Auctions on the forum (1x per 24 hours - delete old post before starting new one) to promote your listings.
    7) Offer international shipping whenever possible to widen your potential customer base.
    8) Tell everyone you know and meet about eBid.
    9) Buy a few inexpensive items to increase your feedback and support the site.
    10) Get involved in eBid activities, as the monthly YDC charity auctions, if you're so inclined; it's a great way to raise monies for good causes and it helps raise your profile in the eBid community.
    11) Check out the Help videos and read Astral's FAQs page, lots of good info. in both places.

We know how it goes for sure. I have been combing through the comic boxes and looking at new things to post here that would have been too costly to do elsewhere. I can now offer my cheaper comics and not have to worry about losing money which is nice. Hoping to have 300 or so listings up this week. Having some issues with international shipping options sticking in Ninja Lister. We love our international buyer base and hope to keep them!
