Thread: Cocktails!!! and Music

Now you are all going to say "How can we get this gal to shut up? "

I went to our TV stations website to check on the fire, nothing new on that and I found the story about the accident and another concerning some stolen trees. Do you believe this? On the South side of Cheyenne 2 cottonwood trees have been stolen. The Chamber of Commerce just planted them in a park and they are 4-5 feet tall valued at $400-500.

Hallo, Wyo. I didn't realise you have fires, It is still so cold here that I don't think about summer and associated warmth/heat and dryness. Otherwise a good morning. Hope Al's teeth are less painful - better still, not painful any more. It's very overcast today, so I hope it brightens a bit later on. I need to take some photos. Took them yesterday, loaded them to the PC and they vanished. I cannot find them. I also have a bit of knitting to finish and this afternoon Mil has visitors. That pretty much takes care of my day. Made some tea and coffee and there are some croissants. I will just have a roll that is left from yesterday.

    Hi everyone
Al hope your tooth gets sorted soon, not nice to live with that, glad you got some sleep.
Wyo wow thats scary your lightning story, I used to hide behind the sofa with the dog when I was a child, when we had a thunderstorm. Those other stories aren't good either, poor people involved in the crash.
Meebo thats a bit weird about your photos wonder where they can have gone to, have you looked on the hard drive and places like that? Did they definitely download completely?
Kayla and everyone else have a nice day, if you are performing this afternoon enjoy and have a good one Kayla, try not to get too drunk this week love lol or if you do then drink loads of water before going to sleep, it will help re-balance things, make you want to throw up, but most of all will avert a hangover tomorrow .
Trish and Sue have a nice time with your Mums

Exactly! Water is a remarkable hangover preventer. They say if you know you'll be drinking heavily to drink milk befoe hand. The claim is it coats the stomach. Water has always worked for me.

I have had so many root canals in the past I thought I knew the routine. Well I guess the routine has changed. Dentists nowadays can start the root canal while the tooth is infected or they can wait until antibiotics clear the infection.
I decided to ask the dentist some important questions in regards to my teeth then ended up going the antibiotic route and look for a dentist while the infection is clearing.
This idiot wanted $2,800.00 for ONE root canal with post and crown. I looked at him and said, hang on let me pinch myself here as I beleive the pain killers I have been taking must be messing with my hearing or comprehension.
I should have known when I pulled in the parking lot this place was going to be expensive. I told Christine "this looks like the Taj Mahal" it's gonna be expensive. We walked in I looked at the decor and knew I was in the wrong place. Anthracite counter tops, Granite floors with woven wool carpet inserts. Waiting room chairs looked like something out of a Corporate CEO's office.
After the initial shock of the $2,800.00 root canal I asked the dentist. "What is it going to take to fix the rest of my mouth $30,000.00?" He said that's a pretty low estimate. Needless to say I asked for the antibiotic and vicaban prescriptions and I would think about how I wanted to proceed. And the reason I looked for a new Dentist is because I thought my dentist charging $900.00 for the same work was rather expensive.
Took a while for the antibiotics to start attacking the infection. Yesterday I must have taken upwards of around 20 pain killers to ease the pain but still the only thing that worked was an ice pack, yep good old fashioned ice pack. About 7:30 last night pain started to subside and I slept. When I did finally get up after a few awakenings, pain is just about gone but swelling is still present. About the size of a golfball showing through my jaw.
Only 9:00 AM here but I'm ready for a beer!!

Wow, Al, that's awful! Hope you can get some help soon without breaking the bank. IMHO this is why we need something like NHS as I don't believe anyone should go into debt paying medical bills.

Back home again a bit early, but planning on going back to Mom's this coming week, may be closing up shop soon (possibly by month's end) and going to NY for the summer, fingers, toes and eyeballs crossed...

    Cheers,

Pleased to hear your pain is subsiding Al . . . those prices have just reminded me how fortunate we are to have the NHS!

Hope your plans work out Sues and you get to NY for the summer. It's just beginning to warm up here, so it may be the start of summer, fingers toes and eyeballs crossed too
