Rough day already Ms. Penguin and Trish?

Called the Airmail as it's the fastest way to get from point A to point B.
I had the Rum, lime juice and honey but had to run out for champagne.

'Morning all..............windy and spluttering rain outside. Birds have been fed, and hubby has coffee, and I had tea (and a brownie) lol..............life is short - eat dessert first theory works for me!!!

Great theory, quite logical. Dessert first then we dont eat so much.

Oh,Oh..... quick, I need a cup of tea with a large whisky in it.
My nerves are in threads .....


All of a sudden the upstairs smoke detector went off ... really LOUD!
The dogs went crazy.
Thank the Dear Lord Lucia was at home (she and Matt are going to Donnington in a little while, until Monday for the World Superbikes).
Well, she tried to stop the noise, and after much pushing, pulling she couldn't get the cover off. Finally found out there's a little compartment that opens with the battery in. She put the new battery in, put the electric back on - and the noise continued ...

Electical fault. We ran around like two headless chickens, dogs howling away .... Lucia going mad as she had just had a shower and needed to dry her hair... OMG.

Luckily, Andy across the road (our hero, fixes cars and chief spider catcher to boot!) came across and saved us.
He located the switch to turn off the power to the alarm.
I can't get an elecrician here until next Wednesday, but we still have the downstairs alarm, so we are still protected.

I'm still trembling, if Andy hadn't been in I would have been sat here without any power ( had no idea you could isolate the alarm - doh, what a numpty!)

Ah well, at least it got me out of postage amending

If you have a video send it to one of the television networks over here. They will turn it into a reality show. No doubt starring Paris Hilton and the Kardashians.

LOL Trish! Lucille Ball was one of my favorite comdiennes, she could make anything funny.
