Bulk edit playing silly devils

Like a number of UK members I'm sure, I've been editing my listings due to the impending increase in postal charges.

So far I've had to bulk edit each batch twice,
because the first time
when I submit the items, the bulk edit page shows as

0 in bucket waiting to process 0 success 0 failed with a link to view that shows nothing.

There were certainly items in the bucket when I started the editing process.

I've got exactly the same problem. Twice tried editing 76 items in my bookstore it all went as normal, showing still 76 auctions in bucket I was making changes to then when I submit it it does the clock thing and then shows 0 auctions in bucket waiting to process!
This happened a few weeks ago too and I gave up at that stage

I did what Gazza suggested and started recording it, showing the failed auctions first, then attempted to do the process again, this time the bulk edit worked!

I think you need to send the recording of the one that didn't work to support.

Since I've been recording mine, it has all worked perfectly. I'm sure it will go wrong, the first time I forget to record it.

I have had this twice recently, exactly as Gothinica describes. It happened twice out of 24 Bulk Edits. Do it again and it works fine. I have also had a problem when adding to a bucket suddenly it goes to zero.

Anyway got a message from support this evening & they've made a tweak to Bulk Edit, so hopefully this is fixed.

Sorry Gazza, the tweak didn't work,. it went wrong again this morning, & I wasn't recording it as I thought it was fixed.

• The Search filter to add to bucket was all the items in one store,
• The edit was to replace (a part of) the description.

I've had this problem using the latest versions of both firefox & seamonkey.
I'm running XP Pro with service pack 3

I don't know if you can gain any information from the empty bucket, but I've left it in situ,
this was on my Kewtonia ID


BTW A note of the number of characters allowed for the Bulk Edit find & replace, would come in useful.
Even better a maximum character countdown, as you use in the listing form title field, would make it easier for those who don't use html.

OK will do, it seems very intermittent, as I'd done 5 or 6 with no problem, then the faulty one occurred, but when I redid it the next day it was fine.
