...seeing so many listings with live links back to eBay. Either lazy sellers that cannot be bothered to amend their listings for eBid, or who are deliberately trying to redirect buyers there. Couldn't eBid use something similar to the email address filter to break such links? Also break them on import into Ninja Lister - where I expect many arrive from.

I report them when I find them but that seems to be as far as it goes. The sellers, links and the listings seem to stay where they are.

Yes, I have pretty much given up on reporting any breaches of eBid rules - due to admin's seeming lack of interest in enforcing them (yet they did go after my About Me page when, I suspect, someone reported it).

Being a 'good boy' I try to keep within any rules - so it irks a bit when I see other flout them and get away with it. Unenforced rules might as well be got rid of and let a free for all reign supreme.

I reported multiple listings a few days ago and they were deleted.

I find a lot of them, too. And like dardonboi I do report them. Some sort of filtering as listings are coming in would be a good thing for admin to think about for sure.

EXcellent suggestion, hope the powers that be read this thread and act on it.

Yes, but please please please pretty please, don't just discard them. At least have the courtesy to have the automatic filter generate a mail to the seller, pointing out the issue. And put these listings in a holding bay, so the seller can fix them and resubmit easily.

Maybe some are indeed doing this with evil intent, but I'll bet many of them, especially the newer sellers, are just using details they previously used on feebay and forgot they had links that would need changing. And dumping such sellers' auctions into a black hole would be a great way to have them think badly of this site and go away.

You're the only one suggesting that listings be dumped. The original suggestion was that the links should be broken so that they are no longer live. Simply stripping out http://ebay and www.ebay from all listings would achieve that. The links would then be dead, any associated text would be within eBid's rules, and all would be right with the world - well maybe not quite the last bit.
