YDC 98 Announcement

Charity Auctions

24th – 28th April 2012

YDC charity auctions are held by the international eBid membership every month.
Our main aims are to raise as much money as we can, and have lots of fun along the way!
At the same time, we have a “friendly” competition to see which single auction raises the highest amount. The winning seller in this competition chooses which good cause to nominate for the following month’s competition.

As the winner of YDC97, cheaver has kindly chosen:

Janet's Trust

as this month’s nominated charity.

Please note: ALL auctions listed for YDC 98 and in the YDC category should start on the 24th of April, and finish on the 28th (4 days)

If you would like to take part in the “competition” element of YDC98,
Please also adhere to the following guidelines:

1) All auctions should have a start price of 99p (UK) or less.
For other currencies, please find an easy conversion chart here: http://www.xe.com/

2) No item listed should have an expected value of more than £20.00 (or local equivalent)
Please note: If you wish to to list your favourite Ming Vase or your treasured Ferrari for charity- please do so, but you won't be eligible to win the "competition" - as they are probably worth more than £20!

3) Your auction should not have a reserve price or Buy Now, and it should be a standard auction (ie: not “featured”, or have any extra enhancements)

4) Your auction should run for exactly 4 days.

5) Please list your item/s to start at any time on the 24th of April (in your country), and finish at the same time on the 28th. (Different time zones will be taken into account when establishing the “winner”).

6) Please put YDC 98 in the auction title.

7) Your auction/s must be hosted on eBid.net, and must NOT break eBid’s listing rules.

8) Your auction/s MUST be for a charity (or good cause) and you will need to add the following to your description:

This auction is an entry in the YDC98 charity auction competition. All money raised by this auction, will go to: Add the name of the charity/good cause here

9) You should not mislead bidders/ buyers. Please be truthful.

10) Please keep all shipping / postage charges at cost price.

11) PLEASE LIST YOUR AUCTIONS IN THE CHARITY AUCTION SECTION UNDER “YDC”

You do not have to support the nominated charity, it can be any good cause of your choosing.

So for YDC 98 I am choosing my own Charity, Janet's Trust, & the plan I have in place for monies raised is to take all the Kids in Care, 5 boys and 2 girls, to my local Theatre where our local Theatrical Group is putting on a production of 'Allo, Allo' in May. Children's Home Staff & myself will accompany the boys on one night, & the pleasure will be repeated the following night for the girls.

HELP! Just had a look at my YDC auction and on the main auction page with all the listings? Mine is showing start price $.99USD but it has Buy Now $1.00......what????

I went in to edit page and I have NO buy now price in there..it's showing 0.00 and box is un-ticked...... HELP!
