You need to look into their accounts for that. (Column on left hand side of the page). If you read the write up prior to the accounts (if I remember rightly) I think you will find that this Research money was funded by grant - I can't remember now if the grant is Governmental or Lottery funded.
I think also that for YDC 100 an international Charitable perspective was being sought?

Thanks for that. What's being sought at this stage is down to the individual, there's not been any sort of party line voiced.

I can't see the Research figure, where's that? Just the 50M on charitable spending. Looks to me like research isn't their main activity, supporting patients and families is.

Who will choose the charity for YDC 100 vonz?

The reason for asking is:
My father in law died in January from Alzheimers (10 years watching him wither away) and 3 members of my family have died from cancer.
I see people in wheelchairs in the street and I see in the papers/hear items on the news where donations are needed. I see dogs in training for the blind. I see/hear so much from the media.

Please, lets not make this a more for one charity thread. Just leave your nomination and leave it at that.

Generally, so do I - but for YDC 100 I understood (?wrongly?) that an international Charity, which would appeal to the eBid Community as a whole as well as enhancing the international eBid profile, was preferable. Obviously someone has made this suggestion & I have taken it on board as being a good one & generally accepted it when apparently this would appear now not to be the case. If I have misunderstood then I apologize.
