Military sub-category suggestions

I would like to see more sub-categories in the Military category. "Other" is far too broad. It would be much more effective if in each category we had sub-categories such as:

Military/WWII/photos & docs
Military/WWII/autographs
Military/WWII/original period items
Military/Civil War/excavated relics

An example for Military/WWII/sub-categories might be:

/reproductions & re-enactment

/original period items/
edged weapons
hats & helmets
medals, pins & ribbons
paper items, newspapers,posters & prints
personal field gear
books
photographs & autographs
uniforms
patches
currencies

Similar sub-categories for each war period would be most helpful.

These categories are a one of the worst sets on eBid but requests for change have so far not met with success.

Could this request be taken seriously, please? The American Civil War is taken very seriously with 14 categories and the huge total of 47 items. 6 of those categories are empty and 14 of the items are under "other" which suggests that the categories aren't the right ones anyway.

The OP's suggestions .... Dug relics for ACW is a cat. already. And using the term "Civil War" is ambiguous on an international site. Several other countries have had one including UK!

If we are to have reenactment kit categories, I think they belong out of collectables.

However, each war category needs to be split and the categories suggested by the OP under "original period items" look good to me.

I'm a bit fed up with listing militaria under "other".
