I'm kinda loath to request new sub-cats in the jewellery sections while they're so bloated but something has to be done about the charms and charm bracelets.

With the popularity of European charm bracelets, 79% of listings in the Costume Jewellery > Charms & Charm Bracelets are in the 'Other' sub-cat and it's 90% of listings in the Fine Jewellery category . The following sub-cats in *both* Fine and Costume Jewellery would give a more suitable place for a lot of the listings languishing in 'Other'.

Charms & Charm Bracelets > Starter/Blank Bracelets > Nomination/Italian/Photo
Charms & Charm Bracelets > Starter/Blank Bracelets > Traditional
Charms & Charm Bracelets > Big Hole Beads > Ceramic
Charms & Charm Bracelets > Big Hole Beads > Glass/Crystal
Charms & Charm Bracelets > Big Hole Beads > Metal
Charms & Charm Bracelets > Big Hole Beads > Other
Charms & Charm Bracelets > Big Hole Beads > Stone/Gemstone
Charms & Charm Bracelets > Big Hole Beads > Stoppers & Clips

A further level to *all* the existing categories would also be a help. I've just done the first one as an example but the level would need to be applied to all for it to make sense.

After wading through a search with my -terms twice the length of my actual search terms, I heartily agree. Only change that would be nice is change blank bracelets to Starter bracelets. However, this may be a English English /American English dichotomy.

I wouldn't want two versions, either.

However, if you ADD the sub-cats suggested in the OP it would save confusion. To try and make it clearer, I've edited the OP to show what is already there in green with the needed additions in black.

The only reason there would be two versions is because Charms & Charm Bracelets are already a sub-cat in both the Fine Jewellery and Costume Jewellery top level categories so both need the additions.

If you were to merge the Fine Jewellery and CostumeJewellery categories for Charms & Charm Bracelets it would be pretty confusing, both to search and list, unless you also merged the other categories. This would put you out of step with every other listing platform out there and would probably deter new sellers, especially new high end sellers.

This all sounds like a good idea to me. I Also have items to list which would fit nicely in to the new sub cats. As Cm points out european bracelets are very popular at the moment and really could do with a sub cats of there own. This would narrow down the search results for people looking for the beads and bracelets.
