Default Multiple variation drop down menu

One thing that ebid really needs is a drop down menu for buyer to choose from different variations of an item. Such as my items, I sell Decals/stickers and each design comes in a variety of colors. This would benefit the ebid, seller, and the buyer in a big way, as it would not clog up the site with unneeded auctions of the same style but in slight variations such as my decal colors but with pants, shirts, shoes, etc. that have different sizes. And make it easier to sell and buy off of ebid. Right now ebid seems a bit clunky because of this and other reasons. I'm not a big fan of feebay but you have to hand it to them they make it easy for the customer to buy and easy in some cases to list multiple item.

Cool Re: Multiple variation drop down menu

I have to completely agree. We are just starting off, and at present I can't find any option to have variation listings. Would be a great addition.

I agree, ideally I'd list my prints in three sizes, but it just seems so clumsy having to do an individual listing for each size - it can't be too hard surely, I'm able to offer that option on my website with no aggravation setting it up.

I have brought this up so many times - unfortunately I cant see anything being done about it.

With a variations drop down menu, I could cut my listings down to around 2,000.
It makes a lot easier for customers to browse my items - and encourages multiple sales.

It would cut the total number of site listings down unfortunately, and ebid dont want that.
I also believe tho, long term, that it would be a worthwhile addition - not only from a customers point of view - it could be an attraction for more sellers.

Couldn't agree more. This has been mentioned before though so maybe the boys will kindly think about this one and implement it. There is nothing worse than seeing listing after listing of the same item but in a different colour or an item that can be enhanced with a name and page after page of the same item with a different name printed on it.

It puts me of my search.

Yes, I've actually cut back listing size variations because of it, only a small quantity of a second size and nothing of the third size...

Totally agree. I tend to give up after wading through loads of almost similar items. Having the variations in one listing does seem to encourage sales.

Wow, I didn't expect such a quick reply to this 'oldish' topic (January). I can see there are other frustrated users that think the same way as us. I am a very logical person, this is why I just can't understand why this feature isn't available since the beginning. As previous posts already mention, it would save on listings and would help potential customer to have a 'wider' view. Being part of it for one day, I can see that there will need to be a lot of changes to make this site competitive with eBay and Amazon.

Another option would be with variations, to cross promote them inside each listing. But again, more work for the seller, when this could be done from developer side and keep customer and buyers happy at the same time.

Me again. Is there a moderator or somebody from the company who would usually reply to such requests? I know I am asking for much, but customer service should be number 1 priority, even if just acknowledging the problem.
