Thread: I have counted 176 stores in Australia.

  1. #1

Default I have counted 176 stores in Australia.

Some of these are vacant or not visited for a while. Strange Australia is one of the least changed since finance crunch. Retail sales are dropping but more online sales.

    reasons Ozzie Ebid not booming.

Not enough people know about Ebid.
Ozzies are happy with sites available at present.
Dull & boring not willing to Venture to new sites.
    Variation of products.

Online new clothes, electrical and supermarket seem to be winners.

News broadcasts often commenting on large increased online spending.

Any suggestions why this rapidly expanding online market place has not been reflected on Ebid.

Australia has always struck me as such a vibrant country.............no idea why there isn't more activity on eBid, if, as you say, online sales in general are increasing.......................
    Ta-Ta for now!

Yes Australia is just about the only country that did not suffer much from the GFC.
It has so many raw materials that it is selling to China so the whole country is based on mining.
    Wages are very high.

My sales have always been good there.

Imho the reasons ebid's sales for Australian sellers is simple.
They are a long way from the main numbers of ebid members in the UK and the USA.
So postage becomes an important factor.
So they have to have unique items

And the number of Australian ebid members is no where big enough to be self-sustaining.
Ebay is very strong in Australia
And they have their own auction site (was called Oztion), which has struggled for years even though it has 500,000 members.

I have made lots of sales to Australia, so there must be plenty of buyers there

Now Historic Myers department store is struggling to survive with online sales in Australia. Ebid needs to fine a way to share this boom period.

Yes Chinese, Arabs and Indians are buying Australia. The lucky country will soon be foreign owned.

I believe best if I list on another site for Australian sales. Will still keep Ebid also for International.
