It's actually International Women's Day, and I suppose there are places where it still matters. For me Women's Day isn't about putting your feet up, quite the opposite. It's about allowing women to get out there and do all the things men are allowed to do, like go to work, qualify for a profession, drive a car, and not get stoned for being raped.

Since I'm lucky enough to live somewhere that already gives me all those basic rights (though doesn't necessarily pay me equally but hey ho), I shall make *myself* a cup of tea and put my feet up on the furniture I paid for.

Bf wil be making me dinner, but that's most days. Good thing they don't have an overworked underpaid International Old White Men's Day, otherwise I'd have to do something nice for him.
