I got a burn like that once. I used a product called "Renew" with tea tree oil. In just a few minutes NO PAIN!!! I was totally amazed. I had to keep applying about every 15 minutes for the first hour or two and then less and less. No mark, scare or anything. Cannot even tell I had a burn now. And it was crusty and black. I highly recommend this product.

Eek Pink that looks nasty stop trying to turn yourself red !
You need to cover that overnight to stop infection. If you haven't got a sterile dressing in the house then use clingfilm or a clean plastic bag. What ever you do don't put anything greasy on it. Take some pain killers if it is really hurting and get yourself to the doctor first thing in the morning or go to A&E tonight if it is really bad.

    This is two days old.

The only problem I've got is putting on and taking off clothes as the sleeve really scrapes over the wound. <swearing my head off>

I'm letting the air get at it so that it scabs up.
But this dressing and undressing (Sleeve problem) makes me cringe.

Someone after my own heart. Why pay the doctors? It's a burn. Keep it clean get it to scab up, body fights infections and if healthy will heal in no time. Just my beleif but pretty much same as doctors do other then salve to keep it clean and medicine for pain.

Fight it Pink, you got this!

In that case it might be worth getting some sterile dressings in from the chemist just for those moments as you might go knocking the scabs off. They don't cost a lot just a few pence and get some microporous tape to hold it in place while you dress as it doesn't pull the skin like sticking plaster.

We don't pay the doctors (yet !) Adruml we still have the bare bones of our national health service left thank goodness ! I would always advise people to get something like that checked out as they might have other things wrong with them like diabetes which could lead to complications.

I have a lot to learn about the UK. I just shudder at the thought of going to dr or dentist though. Naturally cavities we truly can't do anything about on our own but scrapes, burns and cuts along with colds and flu our bodies should be able to fight and heal on our own but just my opinion and way of doing things.

Makes my arm hurt just to look at it Pink. I have had some small burns that looked like that but nothing that size. Cover it for dressing. If it gets angrier looking get your self to the Dr. You sure don't want an infection in an area that size.
