The item is not in a store, so has your eBid username been granted a Google exemption?
Exempted long ago
16" Blade?
May well be. I know they won't upload anything with 'knife' in the title. Be really hard to sell if you can't use one of the most critical keywords.
If eBid aren't uploading it, then only they can explain why. Though I have not had much luck getting reasons out of them in the past - just that I must comply with requirements (which is not that helpful when you already think you are) for items to be submitted.
If eBid are submitting it, but Google are rejecting it, then the answer may be even harder to get.
eBid's filters can be a bit 'over zealous', so it could be a false knife connotation.
Best ask support direct.
Would this likely sell listed as a "butter spreader switch"?
The last go round with support about butter knives not being uploaded was fruitless. May as well have talked to the wall. At least the wall wouldn't have given me inane responces.
If it is an eBid filter issue, and they can't make their filters intelligent enough, then rejected items should be sent for human review - though I somehow doubt that eBid has the manpower.
I sell on another site also and was reading through their forums on getting picked up by Google. The main advise is make sure the first 3 words in a title tell what the item is and that the first 3 words in the description should be the same. So in this instance move antique behind Emerson Brass Fan and leave out the word blades. Then start the description with Emerson Brass Fan. Sometimes it is hard to make the description make sense but it works.
I have been doing this and I have sold more in the last 2 weeks on both sites than I sold all of last year. Don't know anything else to attribute it to.
