eBid needs a bigger "Items Ending Soon" section

Looking at the index page for the site I can't help but feel that the items ending soon table is too small and doesn't show enough variety. Could this be expanded to show all items closing within a 24 hour period by clicking another link?

As you look at it now, you may only see items from one seller at a time until they are gone. It would be ideal for buyers who like to browse until they find something interesting rather than use the site's search engine. I use that function on the bay ( I hate to mention this here) quite often rather than direct searches. I believe this would be a valuable addition to the site and help individual sellers make sales. Anyone agree or disagree?

Wow thanks Kim, I didn't see those links at all. I guess my question should be; can they be made more prominent or am I the only person who didn't know they were there?

They are very 'hidden' at the bottom of the screen.......very little shows to me, and it took a long time before I knew they were there. Maybe bringing that section up a bit on the page, and making some other things a bit smaller would be an idea......White space is good on webpages, but these are important features that are not being readily seen by the people who should see them.........newbies.

There are many 'links' on the site that could do with being more prominent.

As eBid does not generally follow the convention of underlining links on the site, many would do better changed to buttons. Something that clearly invites the user to click on it.

As in the specific case of 'More...', that would be better at the end of whatever list it refers to - rather than at the top.

I knew they were there, but as they're somewhat hidden I don't check them that often. Agree a bit of prominence would help in this area.

When it comes to software design, the designers need to realise that people are in a hurry and they just get done what they need to get done. And people are creatures of habit.
Users do not spend time looking at each screen and thinking "Is there an option on this page that I have not looked at"

So yes, the answer is underlined links, bigger buttons etc etc.
