Very interesting. A good book on the subject is "Unsung Heroes of Rock & Roll, the Wild Years Before Elvis" by Nick Tosches. which explains a few things. You can be sure that Rock & Roll was a "black" American invention, there is a very fine line, between the old R & B records and early Rock & Roll. Check out the old records by Big Mama Thornton, Johnny Ace, Arthur Alexander and many others. Fascinating thread.

I find it all fascinating. The evolution of music is very interesting.
