Default How do I clear the books?

A customer purchased an item from me which is now out of my inventory and out of my suppliers inventory. I contacted the purchaser and made them aware of the situation and sent them a full refund. How do I take that sale off the books at Ebid?

Email support@ebid.net and give them the auction number...they'll take care of it for you!

You listed an item for sale that you didn't have.

I also bought an item before Christmas to use as stocking stuffers.

2 days before Christmas I got an email from Paypal saying my payment was refunded as the seller was out of stock. The buyer still shows 8 lots in stock right now.

I'm Still trying to decide what type of FB to leave.

If a seller did that to me without the courtesy of a separate explanation, I know what I'd leave!

Although it's annoying, I can live with something going out of stock,
but I cannot understand a seller who has given a refund because of this, not making sure the item is removed from sale immediately they were aware of it.

When this happened to me I left a neg with details why.

I'd end the auction/listing ASAP and e mail support as suggested. IMHO it's a good idea not to list items you don't have on hand and ready to send out, though you did the right thing in refunding and explaining to the buyer.

    Hi from a fellow NCer.

I think the feedback should reflect how you felt at the end.

If you felt you had been messed about and communication was lacking - then negative.

If the actual transaction was a failure, but the seller had sufficiently recovered the situation by good communications - then neutral.

If the actual transaction was a failure, but the seller had really gone out of their way to try and leave you with a good impression of them - then maybe even a positive.

So, how did YOU feel about the seller at the end? Don't tell us - tell the feedback system.
