    Default Favourite chefs

I was just about to reply on the cheffy thread, and I think it's gone, so I'll put this here.

We'd named a few favourites, HFW, Raymond Blanc and Mary Berry were the list I remember, and I'd added: Dan Lepard.

Just to say, DL's a baker, and his site's here http://www.danlepard.com/

    I
would also recommend for the sheer beauty of it, this amazing foodie blog http://g0lubka.blogspot.com/

I am quite sure your ability is surpassed only by your modesty.

Can't say I have tasted any of the famous Chef's dishes prepared by them but I enjoy Jeff Smith (Frugal Gourmet) recipies. One in particular is his Piggies tied up. Unique and different.

On another note I have noticed several good threads being removed for no apparent reason. What's going on lately?

I'll have to check out JS, like a bit of frugal.

    Yep, love his stuff.

One of my favourite cookbooks isn't by just one chef, it's a selection of them - all the recipes are for soups. Love it. It's called Soup Kitchen and HFW does the intro. This book introduced a winter staple to my diet: spiced roast veggie soup. Yum.

LOL Can't stand the woman and her manufactured pout, but I use her scone recipe all the time. So between us we make a whole fan.
