Any chance that the action column could be used to delete, or close auctions. Perhaps by allowing D or C to be entered as a valid action. Or perhaps "DEL" could be used for delete to ensure no accidental disasters.

Would make it handy to delete and close discontinued or out of stock items if I could just export from a database my list of items by SKU, and then upload them as closed or deleted using the bulk upload.

I was thinking the same thing myself when I was overwriting some items recently

It already does. Set action to d to delete the item, or c to close them. The same works in Ninja Lister.

Column X
Action. What do you want to do with this row of data?

a = "add" .. this will start a new auction with the data on this row

o = "overwrite" .. this will edit a currently running auction of the same title. This is subject to our current edit auction restrictions. eg. descriptions cannot be edited after a bid has been made. If an auction is not currently running with this title a new auction will NOT be started with this data.

ao = "add/overwrite" .. this will start a new auction if an auction with a matching title is not currently running and will overwrite it if there is already one running.

d = "delete" .. this will delete any auctions with matching titles. They will not be closed but deleted forever. Again subject to restictions for auctions with bids on already. Only the auction title cell is required for this.

c = "close" .. this will close any auctions with matching titles. They will appear in your "Auctions I Ran" section within a couple of minutes. Only the auction title is required for this.

I'm so glad you posted that. I thought I was going mad, as I was certain that I'd seen the same thing previously.

Unfortunately it's not available (or at least, doesn't appear to be) in the latest Uploader spreadsheet. The only options listed are a, o and ao

UPDATE: Hmmm, I stand corrected... Had a closer look and it seems that someone has decided to use a textbox in that sheet of the Excel workbook rather than just typing into the cells. Unfortunately it's shrunk when I view it.

So if anyone else out there can only see as far as Column X (ao instructions). Click on the text and stretch the box out - it seems that there is some more info.

But now I don't know if it's been deliberately hidden. Anyone know if this works?

I think it depends on which spreadsheet application and which version whether the full text is displayed. I tried to get the guys to extend the box, but it seemed they could see all the text when they looked and wouldn't go for it.
