Just a thought .I would probably have my own Website and try to promote that as often as I could..

I like it just the way it is!
Ebid is a breath of fresh air - it's my online boot sale & chat room & I love it as it is!

Oh I got great things for sale too!

I am all for the raising of final value fees (and have stated this on many occasions) - but not a listing fee on top of the £50.00 seller+ fee.
(and yes I do have over 2,000 items listed on the other site too)

Am thinking the op should list 50 or 100 items here, then come back and add to this thread in a couple of months.
Yep! I'd shut up shop too!

Worst website suggestion I have read so far.

I agree with Magnets. If eBid need more money, then I don't mind paying higher FVFs - anything else, forget it.

As per the seller replies, thankyou for your input.

The buyers interest Ebid is reduced, because the excitement of the AUCTION platform is being ruined with what should be fixed price listings. Yahoo auctions went out of business because of this, and Ebays sales dropped once they allowed fixed price listings because the BUYER became uninterested.

So as a revision and clarification, the AUCTION platform system needs to be maintained, and the only way to do that is to charge a seller for EACH item listed as an auction, and and a higher listing fee for how much they auction it off from. Then fixed price listings can sit in a store with a monthly fee until sold, thus maintaining a large inventory.

And while many sellers are objecting this comment, those are ones ruining the buyer interest to the website. Remember that Ebid makes it's money from sellers fees from successful sellers, and needs that money to run the website, so agree to pay Ebid to run this website, and the seller will benefit as well. And PS - I have sold here and did sell some items.

"I am one of those great sellers, and I have no problem paying outrageous Ebay fees for 10 years every month, because my items have a 50% margin of profit, and a near 100% sell through rate every month in clothing shoes and accessories"

    There is your answer then.

I guess you decided to only leave feedback on only one occasion for ''some'' buyers.
