Thread: where are the bidders?

  1. #1

    Default where are the bidders?

I have been searching categories for several hours and have yet to find an auction with a bid on it. Is this site for real or are those that say its a scam

I think you just had a particularly specialized item. There are quite a few Sellers selling too....

I agree with Fleetmark. It is not a busy site. I have sold 6 items in about 18 months, but since I have paid my lifetime membership I am here for the duration and I hope it picks up over time. As things are at the present it will take me about 16 years to recuperate my initial outlay. As 16 years is not (normally) a lifetime I am onto a winner.

Think you'll find most items here are on BIN - I have no problem with sales either.

eBid works very differently to other sites and you have to adapt your selling strategy to suit.

I can't imagine anyone saying the site is a scam............look at all the people here.......and feedbacks. If it didn't work, it would be vacant. It has slowed down a lot in the last few months, I'm guessing due to the economy. High Streets and Main Street stores are the same....lots of small businenesses going under, so it's not surprising that online is also slowing. Many, if not most, of the auctions are Buy It Now, which won't show when you do a general search, and won't show bids..........because when someone bids on it, it is immediately sold and taken from view. Check out the sold auctions by doing an advanced search. And your comment makes it sound like those of us that are here are..........not sensible or honest. Please play nicely!! lol...............good luck in your search...............what are you looking for??

Agree with HM, this site is not a scam and neither are the honest folks who use it. The majority of items are BIN, so you likely won't see many bids (except at YDC time), but that doesn't mean there aren't bids on some items, I have one right now myself.

    Oh and welcome to eBid.

Best wishes for many sales to all,
