Thread: Skrill (Moneybookers) intergration ?

  1. #1

    Default Skrill (Moneybookers) intergration ?

Gazza will we be getting Skrill (Moneybookers) intergrated with eBid, as was promised months ago, when it rebrands on the 28th September ?

The next phase of our rebrand from Moneybookers to Skrill will happen on 28th September 2011. From this date you’ll see Skrill appear alongside Moneybookers and a new design displayed on our website and Gateways. There will be no change in terms of technical set-up for you. Which also means your customers will still find familiar flows and the reassurance of the name Moneybookers in their payment journeys.
    Skrill (Moneybookers). The next step
    to offering more

This planned design improvement is the second part of our three-stage move to Skrill in 2012. As you know we started introducing the brand last spring to make our (and your) customers aware of the fact we are becoming Skrill. We are now displaying Skrill (Moneybookers) on the familiar user flows and known functionality of the Moneybookers website.
Which gives a glimpse of our new look & feel, without disrupting the way you use us.

This also formally introduces Skrill as a consumer brand. It works worldwide, in all languages, and most importantly, it’s a blank canvas: something we use together with you to define a payment brand that not only sits perfectly in your cashier, but speaks the same language as you do with your customers. It’s a brand built around the thought of liberating and simplifying the previously complex process of payments. And we will be here all the way to ensure that you and your customers fully experience this.
By summer 2012 we will launch a new site and improved payment facilities, completely dropping Moneybookers as a brand. You will be able to use our old gateways as long as you like – but we recommend you switch to Skrill as soon as possible. We will be investing extensively to ensure you are completely comfortable with our new brand, profiting from the buzz we will create around what we believe is the future of payments.
Everything you need to change is available now

New logos and banners featuring the Skrill (Moneybookers) identity are available online, and we ask and encourage you to change these on your site, within the next 8 weeks.

You can download these from the link below now, and use them from 28th September.

This is your chance to get ready for tomorrow.

Please make sure you prepare for this change. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your Skrill (Moneybookers) Account Manager directly, or contact our Merchant Services Team using the button below.

So According to Their Website :

" Estimated Monthly Sales Volume - US Merchant

    up to $ 3,000 2.90% Plus $0.29

    Additional Fees Information :

    Receive money Fee 5.00% + 0.05 USD
    (Micropayments) "

    That Would Equal = 7.9 % + 0.34 ?

Or am I Missing something here ?

Yes you are adding together two different options.

I believe that Moneybookers Micropayments have been introduced to compete with PayPals Micropayments option.

If one sells a lot of low value items the Micropayment option is better value.
