I went down for a couple of hours at the end to see the fireworks so feel a bit better for getting out of the house. O/H did his duty this afternoon keeping all the kids in the street happy setting off water rockets for two and a half hours - he's now knackered ! The party was an outer space and alien theme this year .

Only one more trip to Cornwall as far as I know Lieutenant Maplegin to sort out the last few things and bring back the bits of furniture the old soldier wants to keep in the October half term. My brother will be transporting him up to Bath in his camper van when he is ready.

Good morning! Just caught up on yesterday's news as I wa out all day. First to my mother's(saying good bye) then to see some friends (here good bye also) and then to the open air theatre, with sister and Bil. It was great fun and ytessterday was not only dry but VERY warm, so sitting outside surrounded by trees and watching a play was a real pleasure.
Quiet day planned today and of course sort out the packing. I do hope everyone is feeling a bit more cheerful today. Sometimes a good night's sleep helps to put things into perspective. (but only sometimes)

Good morning, meebo! My your trip has gone quickly... Sounds like you've had a good time.

My it was hot last night so didn't sleep too well. We had a shower of rain at 6.50am which must have lasted for all of one minute! It is very grey out there so perhaps there is more to come.

Glad to hear that you spent some time at the party Sgt - sounds quite a grand affair - with fireworks and all. I hope the building works really start to make some progress during the coming week so that you know the "end is in sight"!

Sgt glad you did manage to get out, has the old soldier had any luck with the estate agents yet, it will be sad trip for you to collect some of his bits, but you will have some good memories, am sure when your brother does the transporting he will also be piled high with his treasures,

here it rainned over night but sun out now, so hopefully can take the dogs to Nigs mums for a run then we may get a good rest, twice in the night they woke me, they didnt wake Nigel till 6.30, still they have played & are all quiet for 5mins.
& no more losses you will be pleased to hear.
