Angry Dodgy or Not, What would you do??

HI I have just won an iphone from a seller thats been on here over 6 years with no profile and no previous sales etc.

If they eventually contact me and I pay by paypal what are my chances of recieving the phone do you think??

What would you do if you were me in this situation? walk away and cancel the purchase or run the risk that the sellers not bogus and going to rip me off???

    Thanks

I would 1) ask for an invoice then 2) pay by PayPal or credit card and 3) consider why I clicked on Buy It Now when I had such concerns.

Pay by credit card or fund your paypal payment via credit card; Then you are covered by your card insurance via chargeback.

    I wouldn't be in that situation, since I wouldn't have bought from a seller I didn't trust.

Would have made more sense to ask this question BEFORE purchasing.

Just recieved this so I think its dodgy and I will walk away from the sale, if after 6 years still no docs on file then surely its a hi-jack or a scammer!!

Important : Awaiting Requested Documentation from Seller. We have asked the seller to provide additional contact verification information. The user's status is pending receipt of the requested information. We advise not to send payment while this action is pending. Once the seller has provided additional documentation this message will disappear.

Am now wondering why ebid allow someone to list items while they are still awaiting documentation so they can be verified.
    Is this normal practice?
