bid not saved

Why does Ebid not accept bids in the last minute of an auction. I place bids before the time runs out but I get "bid not saved, auction closed" !?!?

Likely due an issue that has been raised before but eBid has not addressed.

The countdown clock you see when you view a listing takes its time from your PC's clock.

The actual eBid listing takes its time from eBid's clock.

So, if there is a variance between your clock and eBid's then closing times can get out of sync.

It has been requested that all clocks take their time from eBid - but we await (in hope) it happening.

The best you can do for now is ensure your own clock is set to the correct time - but even then, don't bank on the seconds matching up.

We need to get this fixed urgently please Gazza it's been asked for again and again. It's happened to me in the past and it's most annoying and disappointing when you don't win your item because of a technical glitch !

Being able to put a bid in at the last remaining seconds is all part of the buzz of an auction site.

i have checked and eBid is the only auction site i can find that don't take server time, please can i ask why ?

lmao - Now I realise why I liked the countdown voice and buzzers so much on the old site - it meant that I could win an auction ! Bring back 'The Voice' !!!

Seriously though this is really a frustrating problem for buyers. I would also like to know the answers to Jimbo's questions.
