Get a decent photo editor, such as Gimp (from gimp.org) (free, open source). Take a photo of yourself, e.g. kicking an imaginary football. Download an example photo from eBid with the logo on, so you can get the positioning right. Put that in one layer, put your own photo in another layer, on top and temporarily set its opacity to 50%, so you can see the layer below as well. Move the layer around, so it's aligned as you wish. Set the opacity back to 100%, delete the layer underneath, save.
You'll also want to crop and resize your pic during this. Experiment, you'll soon get the hang of it. If you mess up, no big deal, just start with a fresh bag of pixels (if you don't have any pixels, I'll run you an auction!).
Seriously though, Gimp is wonderful, every bit as powerful as expensive Photoshop, and loads of good tutorials around.
