It's been raining on and off all night - currently it's off - but will it last? Just had the joy of watching a hare cavorting about in the field outside the window - gladdens the heart.They say hares are mad in March ... well they are pretty daft in July too. It's been a good week for wildlife spotting as saw a red squirrel yesterday although they don't hang around for long...

A haircut is on the agenda today...

Morning everyone, It's the first day of my new osteoporosis pills this morning, I have taken one and now I have to sit or stand upright for half an hour ( i an to frightened to move ), can't even have my porridge yet.
No losses to report as yet but I think there is a device set for later today.

Thank you Private Dot. No I'm quite happy being Sergeant Major Private Dot (best job in the world for shouting and beer !) I was offered promotion once before but couldn't possibly leave my wonderful troops for shuffling papers in an office (have enough trouble shuffling my listings after a bottle of gin !)

Nearly finished painting Cadet Huw's room just one more wall to go but that involves moving all his carp off shelves which I am not looking forward to.


The cadets are going to Tokyo Ueno zoo today which has been going since 1882 ! They should be getting their flight home tomorrow just in the nick of time looking at the typhoon movement. I wonder if they will be able to see it from the plane when they get high enough ? It's going to hit Kyoto badly which is where they were a couple of days ago gulp !

Sounds as thought the cadets have timed things right Sge, looking down on a typhoon from safely inside a plane would suit me down to the ground (!). Perhaps you'll be able to swap gin for saki when they get home

Had to go back to bed as i am hurting from head to foot, don't know why as i only supervised and had rows yesterday so why am I in such pain i don't know. Just going to have a couple of eggs and will then go back with a ibruprofen in me. and an urso and a calsium& vit D, when I stop rattling i should be okay
