I am sorry but I suppose it is the scientist in me that tends to like reading facts that are able to be proved.
I hope my post does suggest that this site is value for money!

I have no issue with people agreeing and disagreeing, but what always suprises me, is when people become vindictive or start slanging matches, out of the blue. If needs be, agree to disagree. I am not joining in over there, but I hope the reasonable replies end up outweighing the unreasonable.![]()
Reasoned replies would have been more productive rather than some of the ill-conceived outpourings.
Can't people see that the constant jumping to eBid's defence only serves to highlight its fragility?
If a response was appropriate, Gazza had all the facts and figures at his fingertips.
Maybe he decided on a dignified silence.
seen most of the posts over there.but i feel this goes on with some of us.A buys of B.then B buys of A.
Yes, that happens a bit but what's wrong with that? I don't see that as any kind of problem and surely it happens in most selling venues? That's the point of "favourite sellers." It's certainly true of the French markets - we sell but we also buy and do very well, thank you, from "Colleagues discounts" in one form or another. It reduces the price of our weekly shopping because we would need to buy those items anyway. Sometimes I'm really surprised when other stallholders give us extra fruit in the bag or round the total down or whatever because very often they are highly unlikely to want to buy patchwork fabric from me - but then when I think about it we recommend their produce to others and they tell others about us. Who knows - maybe the greengrocer's next door neighbour makes quilts!
