You could also risk losing the sale. (buyer having to join new site etc)

Also I don't think it is very professional using another site to gain sales.

But we do need more buyers and sellers on ebid.

How does this work, the script thingy? Would ebay not have software to detect external links.

I tried last year to encourage eBay buyers to check out my eBid listings by including a coupon in their shipments for them to use on my eBid listings. Not one eBay buyer purchased here from me, even though I have more variety here. So I concluded that eBay buyers didn't want their eBay seller advertising eBid to them. (Which, I think would also be true vice versa.)

So instead of a coupon, I now just include a free Thomas Calabro Nature Card in their purchase ... something they can only purchase from me here at eBid, so a subtle way of advertising my presence here without offending anyone.

I don't buy or sell on Feepay, (since 2000), but, speaking as a buyer, I'd be willing to check out another site, provided it didn't cost to join and especially if I could get better deals here, (which I have, at least in the jewelry/books departments).

Exactly how is it unprofessional? I've been directing buyers here for nearly five years, never had a complaint or a problem.

I don't think it has produced any results though.
