That's what I've been doing, and hoping too.

The reason I ask, is that it occured to me the recently that: say someone gets a new pet (for the sake of argument it's a dog). They come to me and they buy, hypothetically, a collar, lead, food bowl, water bowl, coat, squeeky toy & treats. In theory, they've just got 7 feedback from a single purchase, or more if they bought other stuff. Just wasn't sure if that is regarded as "right" or not.

Yes it's right as they could have easily gone to someone else and bought them all singularly and got feedback for each item

This is really funny what about if it was you that bought the item will you expect to get neutrals when you actually paid for all three without any trouble. I hate neutral feedbacks it will really take a lot for me to give a neutral. REMEMBER DO UNTO OTHERS WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO DO TO YOU>

I give a positive for EVERY sale that has gone through OK. If someone buys three items from me, pays for them and alls cool, I give three positives, one for each item, without hesitation. If someone bought all my items (just over a thousand), they would recieve just over a thousand positive feedbacks from me. Its only polite and its only fair - and is being factual.

Negatives are for where a transaction has gone really badly, someones tried to scam you, etc. Neutrals - well thats where something has been "barely" acceptable. None of which apply to a transaction that has gone well.

Say they buy 3 items and all goes well, do you give them 3 positives, or 1 positive and 2 neutrals (explaining that they are related to the positive sale).
I have just blackballed you as I cannot understand your way of reasoning, and would not want you anywhere near my shops.

They buy 2, or 3 or whatever items - but they buy them at the same time. To me that's a single transaction.

So since it was only one purchase, one payment, one set of correspondance, do you give them one positive feedback, or two or three.

I'm not suggesting that they just get ONLY a neutral, I'm just wondering that since you've given them 1 positive, do you give them 2 more for what is only one transaction.

So far I've been giving multiple positive for multiple items, was just wondering if this was how it should be.

I would consider this 3 separate transactions *** you listed 3 separate auctions - they made 3 separate purchases as they had to actually make the transaction on each of the 3 listings *** the only thing about this being one IMHO is that you used one invoice (could have used 3 invoices) to bill for the 3 transactions.

If this had been 1 listing for all three items them then I would consider that 1 transaction and you couldn't use but one invoice to bill for it.

Trevor - haven't you jumped the gun a wee bit by blackballing? Pets didn't say he'd actually DONE this - he was ASKING a question and if you have a look at his second question, it should clarify that.

    That's cheered me up hugely.

I've just been blackballed because you don't understand the question that I'm asking and can't be bothered reading my clarification.

I'm sure I'll cope. With an attitude like that I'd rather not be your customer.

Why ask the question in the first place as it is pointless .... If someone buys one or a hundred one they still get a positive feedback across the board unless there was a problem and even then before throwing neutrals / negatives around you contact them and advise the situation and come to some solution, unlike the idiot that gave me a negative a while back.
To talk about giving neutrals like you it must be in your head.
