Took a short cruise through Amazon & their fee structure and overall structure did not appeal to me.The only way It would work is if eBid negotiated special fee rates for it's USA members. Unless someone has more encouraging data available, I will continue asking for Skrill (Moneybookers integration).
Their fees look pretty ordinary to me, but I just googled "amazon payment fees" and went straight to the first page, so not sure if it's definitely the same thing, but think so. Kicks off with:
Amazon Payments Fees
The fees and account limits for Amazon Payments Accounts appear below. Fees are based on a percentage of the transaction amount plus a per-transaction fee. The transaction amount is the total cost for the items, plus shipping and any taxes, minus any promotional discounts. Account limits are determined, in part, based on the verification steps you've completed for your account. There are no fees for sending payments using Amazon Payments.
Amazon Payments Fees--Checkout by Amazon and Amazon Simple Pay
Fees for payments received using Checkout by Amazon and Amazon Simple Pay vary based on the transaction amount and volume:
For Transactions >= $10:
2.9% + $0.30 for all transactions
Volume Discounts
2.5% + $.30 for all transactions for monthly payment volume from $3k-$10k
2.2% + $.30 for all transactions for monthly payment volume from $10k - $100k
1.9% + $.30 for all transactions for monthly payment volume over $100k
For Transactions < $10:
5.0% + $0.05 for all transactions
etc.
I saw something totally different that may have been describing selling on Amazon. The fees were averaging 15% and climbed as high as 25% in certain categories. In addition to a transaction fee.
The above fees quoted by ByKimbo would be reasonable. Now back to my question of how to sign on and receive those more reasonable rates that I did not see when I went to Amazon.com

Yes, that sounds more like their fees for selling on Amazon.
I wouldn't normally post a link to Amazon as it's a competitor, but since this is about their payment system, and that's integrated here, I suppose it's okay - dunno, but somebody will soon report & remove it if it's not! https://payments.amazon.com/sdui/sdu...zon-Simple-Pay There's a link top of the list on the right of the page to sign-up.The above fees quoted by ByKimbo would be reasonable. Now back to my question of how to sign on and receive those more reasonable rates that I did not see when I went to Amazon.com
Thank you ByKimbo. I hope this imfo does not disappear as it would be helpful to eBidders interested in using Amazon as a payment system.
