I am so excited...I just made my first sale here!!! I sold a bracelet to a buyer in the UK. It is off to the post office I go because I can't print First Class International postage online. I have the free stamps.com account and it wasn't paid thru PayPal so I couldn't find a way to print this online. Does anyone know of a site that will do this without a monthly charge? I am going to be adding about 100 or more new items within the next 2 months so please check back with me.

Hi, I too have sold on other sites and just recently started selling on eBid, although I have been a member for a few years. I am learning how to work with Google to advertise my items..... that I am finding quite difficult, but I have managed to get a few items out there advertised under the Google search. Basically eBid and Google work together to help the sellers sell and the buyers find what they are looking for. You may want to check more into the Google merchant account to help get your items on Google. Best of luck to you and if you can figure out just how to get your store verified through Google, please get back with me, I could certainly use the help in this area myself!

You do need to check your listings. Part of your descriptions are in HTML. I have done this before so I recognize it.

I have the same problem. I list everything in caps on my other site and sell thousands a year. I can't sell a thing here. I have heard ever excuss in the world from these people on this site. Remember also most of the feedback from these people on this site a imported from another site. All i do is list items here and then remove them when they sell on my other site. I thought that it would be great to get away from the high fee's but nothing sell's and Im top rated seller on the other site I know how to sell. Its the same people giving advice all the time but they don't sell a thing. Something is very wrong here.

I am in the same boat as you though I dont list in caps. I am a top rated seller on greedbay and list exactly the same items on here but am kept busy deleting them as they sell elsewhere .. I see ebid as a holding pen for how the item is worded and the pics used .. not really the point of joining but so far thats its only use and I DO promote all my items on FB and Twitter and on other chat forums I belong to .. sure I get a modest amount of views but for some reason people do not want to buy from here.

Now this may not be the full reason but is may be partially to blame that I have seen in other places people saying that lots of bad sellers ( dont leap out your prams I do know that there are many GOOD sellers on here ) who have been kicked off greedbay have defected to here and as one person said ' so who is going to buy from there ( ebid ) when so many bad sellers are listing there ' ..kinda gives it a bad reputation and others I tell have never heard of it and shy away from here as it doesnt promote itself. People are suspicious by nature.
I gave forth all the figures re how many listing there were and several people had a look and said yes but some of the listings are years old so the figure doesnt mean anything its actual sales that count.

Oh well back to deleting items that sell elsewhere .. which is pleasing enough because at least they have sold.

The thing that is wrong here is our mind set. Folks coming over from ebay expect the same type of traffic to view our items as we list them. That is not the case on eBid. Sellers are responsible to create their own traffic through self promoting. This is part of the reason fees are low here.
Our choices are...list, sit back and watch our items sell and pay high fees or list, promote yourself and pay low fees. It's a very simple concept you just need to decide which you want.
Yes multi million dollar ad campaigns would certainly boost the site but would also raise our fees.
Nothing is wrong here. It is different but not wrong. Realize this and either work with it or move to a site which suits your needs.

All of my feedback is from ebid. I did not import my feedback from the bay which was over 3000.

Things do sell....it just takes some effort on the seller's part.

You can email your buyers and let them know that you are on ebid. You can also use twitter and face book. If you will give me you twitter info I will follow you if you will do the same for us. You can also join us on facebook we have set up eBay alternatives-leaving FEEbay behind we discuss marketing and ways to promote each other mostly just women but we are all working together sharing ideas and retweeting each other
